Groves alumnus and retired senior executive in a global high technology firm, Scheidt is a University of Michigan graduate in engineering with an MBA from Harvard. He has been an active school volunteer serving as a trustee of the Birmingham Education Foundation, a member of the district Athletic Advisory Board, a PTA officer, theater booster leader and middle school enrichment teacher. He has served the board as president and on various committees (athletics, audit, diversity, governance and special education).

B.A. in Economics and Management from Albion College. Jessica has served on the Derby PTA, Seaholm Girls Basketball, Seaholm Women’s Track and the Birmingham Education Foundation. Previously Jessica served as an auditor with a focus on public entities, including public schools, municipalities and counties. Following 16 years in finance, account and audit, she now runs her own governmental consulting firm assisting distressed schools and municipalities across the state. She currently serves as Board Treasurer, appointed to Lincoln Park Receivership Transition Advisory Board, and also a member of the 2015 L. Brooks Patterson’s “Elite 40 Under 40” Class.

After graduating from the University of Michigan, Whitman obtained a CPA designation and began a career at PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC) serving as a senior auditor and executive human resource professional. She is an active volunteer in the Beverly Elementary PTA organization, holding such positions as President, Treasurer and Recording Secretary. She holds a BA in Accounting, an MBA and a CPA. She and her husband have two children in the Birmingham Public School district.

Rothschild holds a B.A. in Political Science/History/Business from Long Island University. Walter is a native of New York City and has spent most of his career in corporate marketing leadership roles with Chase, MasterCard, TransUnion, and R.L. Polk. He and his wife, Lori, have been married for 19 years and have three children. Walter has volunteered a great deal of time coaching in a variety of youth athletic programs.

Former BPS teacher, Ajlouny holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from Wayne State University. She and her husband have two school age children in Birmingham Public Schools. As a resident of the district for over 40 years, she has built relationships throughout the community and will draw upon her time as an educator to help her as she serves on the BPS Board.

Jennings has lived in the district for 24 years and has four children that have attended elementary, middle school and high school in the district. As a BPS parent, coach and previous father vice-president of the PTA, Jennings recognizes the potential as well as the challenges facing the district and community. Jennings is a contractor in the area and attended Ferris State University (1984-85) and Eastern Michigan University (1985-88).

Before joining the State Appellate Defender Office in Detroit, Young clerked for Justice Mary Beth Kelly on the Michigan Supreme Court and assisted Justice Kelly on the Governor’s Committee on Juvenile Justice and the Race-Equity Coalition on Child Welfare and Juvenile Justice. Prior to law school, she taught special education in Philadelphia Public Schools. She has served as a resource room specialist and co-taught Math and English to middle school students. She is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School and holds a Master of Education from Chestnut Hill College. She is a graduate from the University of Michigan.
