After reading a Choose Your Own Adventure in class, what more can we learn about the ancient city of Atlantis and the mysteries of the Bermuda Triangle? Are they real? Use these sites to help you learn more.
What You Will Do
- Visit the sites.
- Write one piece of information on each of your Post-It notes.
- When we come together as a class, we will put the Post-Its together and talk about what we have found.
- Then we will decide on and create our final project!

Pioneers!
You will be creating a flip chart showing four landmarks pioneers would pass while traveling on the Oregon Trail.
To learn about the landmarks found along the Oregon Trail, visit this website. Take some time to explore the possibilities. Then choose four landmarks and use the graphic organizer to take notes.
When you have completed your notes, go back to the website and put the landmarks in the order you would reach them if you started the Oregon Trail at Independence, Missouri. (So the one closest to Independence would be #1, and the one closest to Oregon would be #4).
Show your notes to Mrs. Knoper, who will give you a flip chart. Fill in the name of each landmark, illustrate it with a hand-drawn picture, and list interesting facts about the landmark on the inside flap.
Good luck!
