    The Alumni Breakfast: May 31, 7:15am - 8:30am

    BCS welcomes the High School Seniors to come "home" to see the teachers, their BCS classmates and the school. It is a super fun event!

  • 7/8 Cedar Point End of Year Trip 

    The BCS 7/8 End of Year trip to Cedar Point is Thursday, June 14, 2018. We will leave from BCS on June 14th at 7:00 A.M. (Students must be at school no later than 6:45am). Students will be in Cedar Point Park from 9:30 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Please pick up your child at 8:30 P.M. when we return to BCS. Click for the forms and trip information.

  • 8th Grade Celebration Information

    This year's 8th Grade Graduation Ceremony and Farewell Celebration will take place on Tuesday, June 12, 2018. The ceremony will begin at 6:30pm, light appetizers and desserts will be served at 7:30pm, and the 8th grade (student only) party will take place from 8:00 - 10:00pm. We are in need of 7th grade parent volunteers! Anyone interested in volunteering the "Week Of" please sign up using the SignUp Genius link's found here: Link to 8th Grade Celebration webpage.

    The BCS PTA is excited to announce a new partnership with 1st Day School Supplies. We have collaborated with 1st Day School Supplies to help parents and teachers get the exact supplies needed for the school year.

    For current 4-7 grade parents and guardians (next year 5-8), our 2018-19 Elective Packet Information is posted. The online form is due by Wednesday, April 11.  Paper copies of the packets are available in the main office if you need one.

    Going to Seaholm in the fall? Come to the Seaholm Activities Fair on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, to find out about all the extracurricular activities available to students—54 tables of clubs, sports and interest groups!     The Birmingham Covington Districtwide 3-8 School (BCS) is a 3-8 districtwide school of choice for families residing in the Birmingham Public School District. It is designed to offer a clear choice in educational structure and philosophy to parents/guardians and children seeking a rigorous academic challenge. BCS has a special emphasis on comprehensive science and technology instruction based on the Association for the Advancement of Science report, Project 2061, and enGauge: 21st Century Skills.
