Information Meeting: Wednesday, September 5, 2018 in the BCS Media Center
2018-2019 Quarter I Choice Hour Now Available
2018-19 School Year - Quarter I Choice Hour information is now available. Selection Sheets and Course Description Booklets can be found on the Choice Hour webpage. Selection Sheets are due back on Tuesday, June 5 by 4pm. We realize that it is difficult to know fall schedules at this time. Please do your best, as changes can be made after the beginning of school. Change Forms will be available on September 7th, and are due back by September 13th at 4pm.
2018-2019 Summer Packets & School Supplies
3-8 Summer Packets are now available online. Students in 3/4 were given an envelope last week that included a copy of the community read book, as well as the summer packet, cards and 2 dice. Summer Packets may be found at Students/Summer Packets.
The BCS PTA is excited to announce a new partnership with 1st Day School Supplies. We have collaborated with 1st Day School Supplies to help parents and teachers get the exact supplies needed for the school year. Deadline to order - June 30. Pick up during Back-to-School Registration.
Lost and Found
Just a friendly reminder to check the Lost and Found. Any items not claimed by June 15th will be donated.
2018-2019 Elective Information Packets
For current 4-7 grade parents and guardians (next year 5-8), our 2018-19 Elective Packet Information is posted. The online form is due by Wednesday, April 11. Paper copies of the packets are available in the main office if you need one.

The Birmingham Covington Districtwide 3-8 School (BCS) is a 3-8 districtwide school of choice for families residing in the Birmingham Public School District. It is designed to offer a clear choice in educational structure and philosophy to parents/guardians and children seeking a rigorous academic challenge. BCS has a special emphasis on comprehensive science and technology instruction based on the Association for the Advancement of Science report, Project 2061, and enGauge: 21st Century Skills.
