  • BCS Theatre Presents - ‘WILLY WONKA, JR’,  Jan. 29 - Jan 31

    We are so excited for our BCS thespians to showcase their talents this week at their production of “Willy Wonka, Jr!” Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka JR. follows enigmatic candy manufacturer Willy Wonka as he stages a contest by hiding golden tickets in five of his scrumptious candy bars. Whomever comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka factory, as well as a lifetime supply of candy. 

    • Wed, January 29 at 4:30pm - $12 adults, $6 students.
    • Thursday & Friday, January 30 and January 31  at 7pm - Tickets are $12 each.
    • Tickets will be available at the door
    • Cash or checks (made payable to BCS) will be accepted!

  • SHARE YOUR CAREER AT BCS – THE KIDS NEED YOU!

    Hot off the press!  Our BCS Proud Dads are coordinating our fourth Biennial BCS Career Day set for Friday, May 8 (same day as our Moms Eat & Run) from 12:30-3:20 PM.  We need your help to share your career with our students.  It is such a successful learning experience for our students, and, with your expertise, this year’s will be bigger and better!  Here is what we need:

    • Present a short summary of your career in front of students, or
    • Make a 3-5 minute video summarizing your career.

    Now that the Fall/Winter weather is settling in, please remember to send boots, snow pants and maybe extra socks to school with your children. We will go outside for recess every day, weather permitting.

  • Saturday School @ Berkshire

    In partnership with the Birmingham African American Family Network, Birmingham Public Schools provides tutoring for students who need help in any grade level, and in any academic area. It is hosted in the media center at Berkshire Middle School from 9am - 11am from October to May.   • Welcome to Birmingham Covington School

    The Birmingham Covington Districtwide 3-8 School (BCS) is a 3-8 districtwide school of choice for families residing in the Birmingham Public School District. It is designed to offer a clear choice in educational structure and philosophy to parents/guardians and children seeking a rigorous academic challenge. BCS has a special emphasis on comprehensive science and technology instruction based on the Association for the Advancement of Science report, Project 2061, and enGauge: 21st Century Skills.
