  • COMMUNITY SERVICE FUN!

Looking for a way for your family to help others in the community?  We have several suggestions for you.  When you need a break from school work, choose an idea below.  You’ll have fun and be helping others at the same time.

    • Draw cheery cards for isolated seniors in area nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Since they can’t have visitors, they would love mail!
    • Make thank you cards for doctors, nurses, food service workers, grocery store workers, etc. that are busy working and keeping us safe and fed.
    • Create get well cards for hospitalized patients. They are all alone and could use some good cheer.
    • Join Baldwin Library’s “Coloring with a Cause”: https://www.baldwinlib.org/coloring/  They provide coloring pages (for children and adults!)  You can either email completed pages back to the Library or drop off in the Beverly collection box (see below.)

Use your imagination and get creative.

When your creations are complete, walk, ride or drive them to school.  There is a plastic box on the bench outside the main entrance.  The cards and drawings will be periodically picked up and mailed to the intended recipients.

Thanks for your help in brightening someone else’s day!
