You can order your BCS school supplies for next year NOW until Friday, June 23rd!
See directions below and click on the school supply flyer for all the details including a chance to win a prize. Click on the grade level your child will be going into in September. All the supplies needed will be listed. Any item with a check mark next to it can be deleted from your order if preferred. Simply uncheck that item, and it will be removed. Note: not all items are removable.
After you add your customized kit it to the cart, you can click “continue shopping” (left side on the bottom of your order) or simply check out.
Once your order is completed, enjoy the rest of the summer and your box will be delivered a week before school starts.

2017-2017 Quarter I Choice Hour
Quarter I Choice Hour lists will be posted on the board at BCS by August 10, the first Back to School Registration date. If you have not already turned in a Selection Sheet and plan on staying for Choice Hour in the Fall, please send in the forms as soon as possible. All of the forms may be found on the following link. Optional 7/8 Trip to Boston, October 2017 - ONLY 5 MORE NEEDED!!!
Next year’s 7/8 students will have the opportunity to travel to Boston October 6-8, 2017. For information regarding this trip, click Boston Information Registration for the trip will open at the meeting. Deadline to register is Friday, May 12. We expect the trip to fill quickly, so if your child might be interested in going on the trip, we encourage you to attend the meeting. Registration information will be emailed to all families after the information meeting.

A team from Edutopia’s Schools that Work visited BCS in October 2016 for a case study spotlighting the innovative teaching and learning at BCS. The Birmingham Covington Districtwide 3-8 School (BCS) is a 3-8 districtwide school of choice for families residing in the Birmingham Public School District. It is designed to offer a clear choice in educational structure and philosophy to parents/guardians and children seeking a rigorous academic challenge. BCS has a special emphasis on comprehensive science and technology instruction based on the Association for the Advancement of Science report, Project 2061, and enGauge: 21st Century Skills.
