☐ 2. Sign up for a lunch account: https://www.sendmoneytoschool.com
Once a student is registered within the Birmingham Public School District, that student will have a meal account. In order to register for that meal account, you will need a student ID. This ID can be obtained by calling the front office (248.203.4325). Then, go to the above link and create an account in order to add money and check balances, etc. Chartwells is the company that provides the food for BPS. You can access the menus through the Pierce website. https://www.birmingham.k12.mi.us/Page/1254
☐ 3. Sign up for the Pierce PTA Membership Toolkit account: https://piercepta.membershiptoolkit.com/
This website will allow you to pay your dues and purchase things like the on-line school directory, yearbook and tickets to the Carnival and Halloween Dance. You may also provide your information for the school directory here.
$30 – Classroom dues (per student). This fee will cover class parties, planners, staff appreciation, etc.
$10 – Membership dues (per family). Supports the mission of the PTA and allows you to vote on issues.
$50 – Student Activities Fund (suggested, per student). This is the annual PTA fundraiser and proceeds go towards programs and to help purchase technology and school equipment.
☐ 4. Sign up for before/after school care: create a SchoolCareWorks account:
To create an account and register for Kids Club, you must first go to https://www.daycareworks.com/reg_birmingham/start_registration.jsp. There is an annual registration fee of $60. Kids Club hours are Monday-Friday 7 am-8:45 am and 3:45 pm-6 pm. Cost is $7.50 for the am session and $9.50 for the pm session. The process can seem a bit cumbersome but stay with it!
☐ 5. Purchase a Pierce Art Calendar (suggested, not required).
Contact Carey Larson at: clarson@birmingham.k12.mi.us. This calendar features art work from our students and also lists all Pierce events and the daily ABCD schedule. This information (calendar and ABCD schedule) can also be found on the Pierce website. ABCD refers to the Unified Arts Schedule (PE, Art, Music, Spanish, Band, etc.) that are not daily classes. Your child’s teacher will give you the ABCD schedule for his/her class. For example, your child’s classroom might have Art on B days. You will see which are B days on the calendar.
