    Dear Groves Families,

    The Groves PTA would like to welcome our new families and welcome back our returning families for the 2022-2023 school year. The past school year was unlike any other, and our Falcon Family came together to face all of challenges with more courage and passion than ever before! Our collective experiences revealed new insights about ourselves and the people around us—who we are and what we are capable of as individuals, and as a community. There were moments of both deep dismay and also of profound gratitude. Throughout it all, the Groves PTA continued to support and celebrate our school community, and we remain committed to making it our utmost priority to keep our members safe and healthy while meeting the educational, as well as the social & emotional needs of our students, educators, and families.

    Whether a new PTA member or a returning member, we thank you for your contributions, time, and commitment to our organization. As a member of the Groves PTA, you are a voice for our kids and part of the largest child advocacy program in the world. Here at Groves we have an amazing community of students, parents, teachers and staff. Contributing to the Groves PTA only enhances and strengthens this relationship. 

    Please join the “Groves High School PTA” FACEBOOK GROUP- We have a wonderful Groves High School PTA facebook group to provide and share helpful information about our school activities and to be a positive support group for parents and guardians of students at Groves High School. You can ask questions, provide advice and feedback, and make new connections.

    With state budget difficulties on the rise, your donations to the Groves PTA are needed now more than ever to ensure that quality programs and technology continue to be available to our students.  We are hoping that ALL Groves families will become members and participate in giving to the Groves PTA.  Until we determine a safe fundraising opportunity, the PTA budget will be largely determined by the success of our PTA Membership drive, and Direct Donations.  Please visit our website to join, make donations, purchase t-shirts, etc.  Groves PTA WebsiteInstructions to help navigate our website can be found here.

    PTA Membership Dues - While all parents are welcome to participate in PTA sponsored activities only PTA members have the privileges of making motions, debating, voting, holding office, serving as chairmen of standing or special committees. With the $50 membership fee, your family will receive on-line access to the Groves directory.

    PTA Direct Donation Campaign - Each year families spend money on all kinds of things, but what is worth more than a quality education and enriching school programs at Groves?  We hope that this year, in addition to joining the PTA, you will make a Direct Donation – this puts your money to work for your student’s education! The suggested donation is $75 per family, but any amount is appreciated.

    Student Activity Grants -This program distributes grants to student clubs, programs, boosters and activities at Groves to help cover or offset costs for the upcoming year.  This is also completely funded by parent donations. Suggested donation is $25. Again, all contributions are very much appreciated

    Do you have your Groves Directory on your phone (app)?

    If you have not done so already, please go to your app store to download the app -> "Membership Toolkit".  After you log in with your family’s account email and password (each student’s family has one - you may need to ask your child’s other parent for log in information), you will have your Groves Directory at your fingertips!  And - if you have a child at another school that utilizes Membership Toolkit, you can easily toggle between!

      


    The Groves High School PTA, in common with the National PTA and the Michigan PTA, exists to:
     
    • Promote the welfare of children and youth in the home, school, community and place of worship.
    • Raise the standards of home life.
    • Secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
    • Bring into closer relation the home and the school so that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of our children and youth.
    • Develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in mental, physical, social and spiritual education. 
    The Groves Parent Teacher Association exists to support our students, our teachers and staff, and our parents.  We strive to enrich our students’ academic, athletic, emotional and social growth during their years at Groves. We support this goal through the development and coordination of enrichment programming as well as related financial and volunteer support.

    We welcome your involvement in our Groves PTA. Plan to attend and participate in our monthly PTA meetings and other PTA sponsored activities. We would welcome your time and talents to positively impact our students’ educational experience and their lives.
