The BCS Blast is coming on Sunday, April 25, 2021!
The BCS Blast Committee is hard at work preparing this year’s Blast and we could use some help! Please join in supporting your child’s education by volunteering for the Blast!
Volunteers Needed! Sign Up to Volunteer at the Blast!
All activities at the Blast event are managed and worked by parents/family members volunteers. We count on everyone’s participation to make this event a success. In the past most of the volunteer opportunites are day of the event. This year we have many opportunites to help with the planning of our event. You can give as little or as much time as that works for you. Visit the link below and sign up for a shift in your child’s grade. We truly appreciate your support!

Be a Corporate Sponsor
Last year, The Blast was attended by more than 600 families, students, and community members. We are looking to exceed our previous fundraising number this year and hope to count on your support in this endeavor. These funds are crucial to continuing our unique curriculum, funding the purchase of additional technology, books, supplies and programming not covered by public funds.
So on behalf of our students, we are seeking monetary donations in exchange of different advertisement opportunities. Please check the different sponsorship packages available: 2020 BCS Blast Sponsorship Packages
We need auction donations!
As every year, we count heavily on our BCS community to support our fundraising event! And as always, we are very fortune to have such supportive, generous and participating families.
We made a decision this year to no longer solicit donation baskets per classroom, and instead focus our efforts on the online auction. Therefore, we sincerely encourage you to think about your network and contacts...particularly those that, without you, we would otherwise have no personal connection.
- Do you run your own business from which you can donate items or services?
- Do your neighbors/friends have their own businesses?
- Do you have season tickets to a sports event and you don’t plan to use them all?
- Do you have a vacation home/time share you won’t need to use?
Consider donating these or other items to our 2021 Blast Auction.
Please contact Jennifer Ruks email@example.com or Emily Gessner firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or to pick up a donation.
Funds raised from BCS Blast touch every student! Regardless of grade or interest ALL students benefit tremendously from the items and programs supported by the Blast funds. You chose to have your child come to BCS, now choose to support the fundraiser that makes BCS, "A Great Place to Be!" Visit this link to read more information about all the Blast supports!

PTSA Blast Committee Meetings 2020-2021
The BCS Blast committee coordinates the various components of our annual School Fair, the Blast. Held in the Spring, the Blast is BCS's largest fundraiser and party of the year. Our 2021 Blast looks different from previous years and will include a Road Rally Scavenger Hunt, an online auction, food trucks and prizes. Proceeds from the Blast fund the majority of the PTSA's annual budget.
Please support the Blast in any way you can – with the current funding situation for public schools, PTSA support for our students is more important than ever! If you are interested in donating anything to the auction or know any business that would like to be involved please contact the committee chair or attend one of the meetings:
Check the WAG for meeting dates and times.
This great BCS tradition takes a lot of people and hours to pull it off, but if we each do just a bit, it will be a great success! Look for information from your child’s room parent on opportunities to volunteer as we get nearer to the big date, or contact Donna Kramer, Kathleen Meyers or Torri Calver to get more involved.
