A single $750 scholarship funded by the
Birmingham Chapter of Rotary International is awarded to one student seeking financial assistance with post secondary education.
Senior students who demonstrate active participation in the Groves chapter of Interact Club, a Rotary International youth service organization, are greatly encourage to apply. In general applicants, must demonstrate leadership and exceptional community service involvement in school and external organizations and programs throughout their high school careers.

Groves PTA are awarded annually at the Groves Honors Convocation ceremony to two graduating seniors seeking financial support for post-secondary education. Each recipient must demonstrate exemplary leadership and significant volunteer service throughout his/her high school career.

The Tom Carson Memorial Award
This annual award is organized and funded by the Groves Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) Boosters Committee. It is presented at the Groves Honors Convocation to two senior students who best demonstate the principles of good citizenship as encouraged by the respected late Groves Basketball Coach Tom Carson. Recipients names are engraved on a plaque prominiently displayed in the Groves main office and each also receives a commerative engraved watch. Parents may nominate their students by May 4, 2020.
Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Good Citizens Program and Scholarship
Orchestrated in the fall by local DAR chapters, this program honors one senior per school who exhibits good citizenship in all facets of life. For detailed information, visit the

The President's Volunteer Service Award
This national award honors individuals positively impacting their communities through volunteerism while inspiring others to take action, too. To learn more about student eligibility and award levels visit the
Eligibility Page and scroll down. Groves High School is a 2020 certifying organization for this award. Senior recipients receive their awards during the Groves Honors Convocation while other class recipients are personally recognized by a Groves principal or assistant principal.
