Jennifer has been teaching ESL in Birmingham Public Schools since 2019.  She has taught in an elementary classroom for 15 years prior to transitioning to ESL. Jennifer found her love for diversity and culture at her former school, where nearly half of the school population were English language learners.  She has earned a BA in elementary education, a masters as a reading specialist, and an early childhood endorsement from Oakland University. Jennifer earned her ESL endorsement from Western Governor’s University.

Jennifer is married to her husband, Ryan, and has two children Aiden and Andrew. She enjoys watching her children play ice hockey and participating in karate. Jennifer also love cooking and baking, as well as spending time at their family cottage on Torch Lake in northern Michigan during the summer.
