    All parents and teachers are invited to attend our PTA Meetings. Meetings will start promptly and will last 60-90 minutes. If there is a specific topic you would like to add to the meeting agenda, please email the Co-Chairs at a week before the meeting and we will do our best to accommodate you.

    Welcome to our new families and welcome back to our returning families.

    We are asking that each family support BCS with a financial contribution to the BCS PTA 2019-2020 Direct Donation Campaign.

    BCS only has two major fundraisers each year -- the Direct Donation Campaign and the BCS Blast - held each March.

    You can also make your donation by check. Just print off and fill out the Back to School Receipt:

    Without financial donations, BCS would not be able to provide the incredible educational programs and hands-on learning that sets BCS apart from other schools in this district. Since the BCS PTA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, your donation to this campaign is completely tax deductible. And you may want to find out if your employer offers a matching program. We are happy to fill out any paperwork that your employer requires to facilitate the transaction.

    We want everyone to truly understand the awesome things that PTA funds! Here are some examples of your direct donation dollars at work:

    • Tower Gardens for 3/4 classrooms
    • Science Olympiad and Robotics
    • Schoolwide Directories (online and paper)
    • LAUNCH Project Supplies
    • LEGO Mindstorms EV3s
    • Technology such as classroom iPads and Chromebooks
    • Furniture for the Media Center and collaborative spaces in our hallways
    • BCS Research & Design Lab (the PTA helped start the BCS Makerspace)
    • STEM/STEAM supplies
    • Birbery & Battle of the Books Reading Programs
    • 8th Grade Challenge Day
    • Engage and Thinkering Studio programs
    • NoRedInk Writing Program

    PTA Promise to Participate The BCS PTA welcomes you to the 2019-2020 school year. Whether this is your first year at BCS or you have been here for many years, we are glad that you are part of the BCS family. The BCS PTA is an active organization that plans, organizes, and funds many programs, activities, events, and technology used every day in our students’ classrooms. There are so many opportunities to get involved and we hope that every family will choose at least one PTA committee to support with their time and energy during the next school year.  Please click here for the link to the Google doc to sign up to participate.

    To update your directory information for the 2019-2020 school year if you are a current family, you will need to request an email link to your family information. Please enter your last name and email address, when prompted. When the email from BCS Directory Information arrives, please scroll to the bottom and click on the link. This will then let you update your directory information. This link will allow you to update for the current school year.

    Please review and make any necessary changes. If you have a new student coming to BCS in the fall, you will have the opportunity to add his or her information at that time. If you have any questions, please email
