Students riding cycles to school must walk them on school property. Bicycle racks are provided, and students should be sure that their bicycles are locked to the rack. There shall be no riding of bicycles on school property during school hours. Students are encouraged to wear bicycle helmets. Failure by a student riding a bicycle to school to follow rules and procedures established for safety may result in a ban from having a bicycle on school grounds. Skateboards and scooters should not be ridden on school property. These items will not be kept in student lockers.
A large number of students walk to and from school, and these pedestrians are reminded to use the sidewalks and cross at the designated crosswalks and refrain from jaywalking. The railroad property is off-limits, as is the property behind the school, and should not be used as a route to and from school.
For the safety of students, parents who drive students to school are urged to drop them off in the Adams Road parking lot. If you drop off or pick up students in the circular drive, please pull all the way to the flagpole and be cognizant of other students and drivers. Do NOT drop or pick up students in the athletic lot. This area is reserved for bus traffic. There is no parking on the school side of the circular drive - it is a fire route. There is no standing or parking on the Derby Road side of the drive from 7:30-8:30 AM and 2:30-3:30 PM.
School buses operate for students residing one mile or more away from school. The school retains the right to withdraw the privilege of riding all buses in the event of improper conduct. Students are not allowed to ride a bus home with a friend on an alternate bus.
