Detroit Chamber - Summer Melt Counseling Support

Detroit Drives Degrees, a program through the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce, is working to establish a "Summer Melt" Counseling program here in Oakland County. Through this initiative, a part-time counselor would be available to support students and families over the summer months to navigate enrollment in postsecondary education options for the fall. This resource will be especially valuable this summer in the midst of all of the uncertainty during the pandemic.

Summer Support Interest Form: Students or parents can receive information about our summer supports which include personalized college coaching outreach, webinars, text reminders and tips for students, and more. Fill out the short sign-up form and a coach will reach out to you within 48 hours to help you complete next steps to ensure that you are prepared for your first class this fall!
