She has a degree in Early Childhood Education and has over 20 years of experienceworking with young children. "Working with children is pure joy! Ms. Joanne Baker

Ms. Joanne is in her first year working at the Early Childhood Center. She has an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts from Oakland Community College, as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education from Eastern Michigan University. She also has over 44 years of experience teaching lifeguarding, swimming, first aid and CPR to children and adults. "I love watching a child learn a new skill! They get so excited and to 'do it again.' Seeing them build on that skill is so rewarding and fulfilling!"

Ms. Emily is in her first year teaching full time at the Early Childhood Center and has been an active part of ECC staff for 3 years now as a summer assistant teacher and substituting. She is currently obtaining her Associates degree in Early Childhood Education at Macomb Community College. She has 5 years experience working with young children through summer camps, nannying and teaching at early childhood centers. "Teaching young children excites and motivates me because not only are they learning from us, but we learn from them as well."

Ms. Rebecca has worked at the Early Childhood Center for 5 years. She is a graduate of Grand Valley State University with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Language Arts. She has 6 years experience working with children through teaching internships and volunteering. "I've always loved working with young children and watching them grow. I love teaching because I get to see children discover new things in their world and learn everyday."
