Dear Parents and Students,

Please feel to reach out to me at klynch@birmingham.k12.mi.us.  I will be checking my email daily.  Be safe and look out for one another.

Welcome to 7th-grade social studies at Derby Middle School! My name is Mrs. Lynch and I am thrilled to be your social studies teacher this year. This is my 24th year teaching in Birmingham - 15 years at Pembroke and the last 8+ at Derby. My husband and I live in Royal Oak with our three daughters who are in 10th, 8th and 6th grades. We love spending most of our summer up north and, during the school year, following our girls in all their extracurriculars. LIFE IS GOOD!

Please use the links below to keep track of assignments in our class as well as accessing the textbook, Quizlet and CNN-10. When possible, handouts will also be available here as well as in the hanging folders near the whiteboard in our classroom. Feel free to email me or stop into the classroom if you need anything while you are not in social studies class.

WORK HARD, ASK QUESTIONS, MAKE MISTAKES, LAUGH EVERYDAY...WE WILL HAVE A GREAT YEAR TOGETHER!
