     9th and 10th grade materials will be distributed from the West Porch/Commons and 11th and 12th grade materials will be distributed from the Pool Hall/Athletic Entrance on the following days/times:

    Saturday, December 5th 8 a.m.- 12 p.m.

    Monday, December 7th 3 – 6 p.m.

    Tuesday, December 8th 3 – 6 p.m.

    We will put out a list of courses that are requiring new materials for second trimester so students know if they have items to be picked up.

  • The Giving Tree Snowflake and Tree

    Every year Falcon2Falcon strives to help families of our Groves Community in need. If you are able, and willing please help us by signing up to contribute an item(s) from our Giving Tree list below. All items can be dropped off at Groves High School on or before Wednesday, December 9th. 

    Giving Tree Items Include:

    The SANP committee is working together to figure out if we can hold a SANP. Typically, it is held the night after graduation on June 6th. Due to Covid we are waiting to see what the restrictions will be in June. If we do not end up having an in-person party, we are working on some fun alternatives for our seniors. We still need help with Senior Wishes, Community Service, selling raffle tickets, and fundraising. If you want to help but don’t have much time you can sell raffle tickets – this is our main fundraiser! Contact Stephanie Bradley if you can help at sbradley3@msn.com or Lindsay Dembs ldembs323@gmail.com. We will have another Zoom meeting in December. Sorry for those who tried to join the November meeting; we had technical difficulties. Also, a packet of information and order forms will go out around February for all the following items. Here are a couple of items to think about: 

    Raffle Tickets: We will be selling raffle tickets beginning the week of November 30th. We need ALL senior parents to try and sell as many raffle tickets as possible. If you want to help – sell tickets! This is our main fundraiser for the SANP! The raffle is tied to the Michigan Lottery, Evening Daily 3 (on Wednesdays), if the last 3 numbers of your ticket match the numbers drawn you could win a minimum of $100 or a maximum of $250. Tickets are $20 and you have 20 chances to win, very good odds! The drawing time frame for our raffle is January 13 - May 16th. They make great stocking stuffers! Please contact Ashley Caza for tickets at ac2@me.com or call/text 248-376-7602, I will arrange for a contactless pick up. 

    Baby/Current PhotosWe need a digital version of your senior's baby photo and a current photo sent to Dave Green at davidhgreen@comcast.net (yearbook will be asking for a photo too - this is separate).  Also, it would fun to include a zany picture of your senior's COVID experience, if you have one. Make sure include the full name of the senior and a contact number in case we have issues. 

    Yard Signs: Information on buying Senior Yard signs will go out after the holidays. They will be $30. Please contact Holly Baynham at hbaynham@sbcglobal.net with questions. 

    Donations: If you know any local businesses that could donate money, prizes, or gift cards to the SANP please contact Stephanie Bradley at sbradley3@msn.com or Lindsay Dems ldembs323@gmail.com 

    Senior Wishes: During the holidays ask your extended family members, friends, coaches, teachers, etc if they want to give a wish to your senior. This is a note to your senior to wish them good luck and congratulate them on graduating. They are $5 each or 5 for $20. We will give them to your senior the night after graduation at the SANP. This is also a fundraiser for the SANP.

  • #FalconsMakeADifference

    In a typical year, Groves celebrates Make a Difference Day with a large volunteer project. Because we were unable to gather students in person for a group service project, we want to celebrate the work our students have already completed this year! In the spirit of community service, we would like to create a 2020 montage of our Groves Falcons supporting their community. It continues to amaze us how creative, generous, and thoughtful our students are- even during a pandemic.  We are offering one hour of additional community service to those who submit a photo and brief written description about their experiences about giving back during 2020. The picture and experience can be individual, include a group, or family. Please fill out the the #FalconsMakeADifference Google Form to complete your submission.

  •  Groves Library is Now OPEN!

    We are resuming library circulation services!  Here’s the concise information you need to grab a good book. 

    1. Request books in the Library Catalog by 2:50 pm on Tuesdays.
    2. Pickup books afterschool on Wednesdays or during the school day on Thursdays.
    3. Post a book review or star rating in the catalog before returning the book in 21 days.

  • Chartwells Food Pick Up for Families 

    A reminder that during hybrid and at home virtual learning, Chartwells is offering FREE Food pick up for all children under the age of 18. Pick up from Groves on Thursdays 10am-Noon at the pool doors. Contact Pattie Gluck with any questions at 248-228-7172

  • Student Zoom Activation Process for Students

    1. Open Google Chrome
    2. Go to gmail.com
    3. Log in using your @bps-schools.com email address
    4. Open the Zoom activation email that you received
    5. Click Activate
    6. Enter your Gmail Credentials (@bps-schools.com email account and password)

    Test your installed version of Zoom

    1. Open the installed version of Zoom
    2. Click Sign In
    3. Click Sign-In With Google (This will take you out to the internet)
    4. Enter your @bps-schools.com email address and password and click Next
    5. You may receive a message that asks if your computer can launch Zoom click Allow. Otherwise your computer should launch Zoom signed in with your new account.
    6. Your installed version of Zoom should keep you logged in going forward. If it does log you out remember that you always want to sign into your Zoom account using your Google email address and password.

  • Do you have the Groves Directory on your phone (app)?

    If you have not done so already, please go to your app store to download the app -> "Membership Toolkit".  After you log in with your family’s account email and password (each student’s family has one - you may need to ask your child’s other parent for log in information), you will have your Groves Directory at your fingertips!  And - if you have a child at another school that utilizes Membership Toolkit, you can easily toggle between!

  • Groves Clubs & Activities for 2020-2021

    We are hopeful that all students participate in one or multiple school related activities during their Groves experience.  Co- and extra-curricular activities can be a great source of enjoyment for students.  Aside from pleasure, students can develop leadership skills, become valuable team members and provide a sense of belonging to their community. More information may be found on Clubs & Activites webpage.  Groves students are invited to view the list of clubs and activities offered this school year and are encouraged to get involved and stay involved.

  • Optional Student Fee Payment Process

    In order to make any Groves purchases, we are once again using e-Funds For Schools. This program offers various options for parents/guardians who choose the make payments online or from their mobile devices.  Users will have the ability to have various school fees/payments electronically withdrawn from a checking account or charged to a credit card.  You will receive an email confirmation for every payment that is processed.  The e-Funds For School site is secure and uses industry standard data encryption.

    1. To create an account or to login to an existing account, visit https://payments.efundsforschools.com/v3/districts/56264
    2. Once on the eFunds For Schools homepage, the links to "Create An Account" or to "Login" are half way down on the left.
    3. There is a small convenience fee associated with each payment: $1.00 for using your checking/savings account information (direct ACH)  and $2.65 (per $100) for using your credit/debit card.
    4. The following items may be purchased online using eFunds: PTA Donations/Dues; Student Activity Fees; and SOS/Falcon2Falcon Donation
