Field Trips
Each year Berkshire staff plans numerous field trips and traveling classroom experiences that enhance classroom instruction. Trip organizers reserve the right to assign roommates for traveling classroom experiences. For trips that have more interested participants than spots available, trip organizers will organize and conduct a lottery. A scholarship discretionary fund is available for students who would otherwise be unable to attend. For trips to be successful, students that continually behave inappropriately will not be allowed to attend. The following are examples of behavior that may result in loss of field trips:
1. Teacher evaluations of poor classroom behavior and/or academic performance
2. Suspension from school and debarment from classes
3. Harassment, rudeness, disrespect to staff, parents or other students
4. Previous negative behavior in large group activities or on field trips
