I would like to welcome you to third grade and West Maple!  My name is Mrs. Maria Broz, and this school has been my second home since the fall of 2005.  I am proud to be part of such a caring and progressive learning community.  During my career at West Maple, I have taught third, fourth, and fifth grades.  When I’m not at West Maple, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, especially my husband, Michael, my daughter, Macy, and my son, Max.  

When you are in our classroom, you will be part of the fourth grade team! Each day will be an exciting adventure as we make new discoveries and begin new journeys in learning.  In fourth grade, we will build strong relationships, develop important thinking/learning strategies, and master essential skills together.  Each day, I hope that you will feel you are part of a caring learning environment that includes a mixture of laughter, energy, respect, and responsibility.  

I believe parents play a vital role in our classroom.  Parent involvement is essential to developing a positive atmosphere and creating students who are enthusiastic about learning.  Children who know that their families are interested in their learning will always enjoy greater educational success.  With frequent and open communication, we can make fourth grade a sensational year for your child.
