Foods- This is an extremely fun course! Topics covered include basic kitchen terms/measuring, cooking skills, and nutrition basics. Activities include labs once or twice weekly, a Cupcake Wars competition, and a multitude of free cook days! This class is available to 9th-12th grade students.
Multicultural Foods- Multicultural Foods is open to 10th-12th graders. The emphasis is on learning about various world cultures and their unique cuisines. Activities include one-two labs per week, field trips to area ethnic restaurants, and free lab days! This course can be repeated with my approval.
Health- Required of all students to graduate. We cover nutrition and wellness, personal health and safety, alcohol/tobacco/drugs, emotional/social/mental health, and reproductive health. Topics will be explored through a combination of lecture, class discussion, film, and many awesome guest speakers.
