What Is the Battle?
Battle of the Books is a reading challenge and competition among teams of 4th and 5th graders to correctly answer the most questions about 6 books selected by the Baldwin Public Library. The Battle will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020. Students may participate by organizing teams of 4 to 6 members. Each team must have one adult team coach. Students are responsible for forming their own teams. It is not necessary for team members to attend the same school.
When Does the Battle Start?
Battle Kick-Off was Monday, November 4, 2019. The book titles were announced to all 4th and 5th graders in the Beverly Library. Students may begin reading right away, and titles are available for check out at Beverly and BPL!
How Can Parents Help?
Please visit www.baldwinlib.org/battle-of-the-books/ for information about coach responsibilities, team responsibilities, and how to register a team. Registration forms are available online. Only the coach of a team will be responsible for registering the whole team.
