    Blended Attendance Policies:

Attendance in blended courses will be measured through participation in assignments, quizzes, labs, and tests. Attendance Log sheets will be submitted at the end of each week during the term meeting the time requirements for each week. Dates and times are flexible according to what works with a student’s schedule. Each student must work the equivalent of 341 minutes for a 5 day school week, or 5.7 hours [73 minutes x 3 days, plus 61 minutes x 2 days = 341 minutes for a 5 day week]

If evenings and weekends work best for the student, this is fine, but please be aware that your teacher may not answer email immediately at those times. The Attendance Log Sheet must be turned in every week.

Extended periods of non-participation in a Blended class will be evident in the following ways:

    1. Failure to turn in assignments, exercises, quizzes, labs and tests on time.
    2. Failure to communicate with the instructor.

Blended off-campus privileges will be denied for any student with a grade below 83%

If your grade falls below a B [B- or lower] you MUST be in class regardless of the calendar.

Of course any student can come to class every day even if your grade is a B or better. Some students work well with a partner and it can be beneficial to work together to figure out labs, etc.

Work and tests are due on the indicated dates. If you have an excused absence you have one day to make up work for each day missed. It will be your responsibility to inform your instructor of your plan of work to make up assignments and tests in the case of excused absences.

THE STUDENT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL MISSED WORK – you will receive a 0 grade for missing assignments.
