Make Learning English Fun at Home!
This document suggests ideas for interactive games you can play at home with your child. It also includes some free online games.
Adult English Language Classes and Groups
-
Birmingham Community Education ESL for Adults
Register for classes in September. Classes run from September through June and meet for 3 hours each Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Classes are free to BPS residents.

Birmingham/Bloomfield Newcomers Club and the Community House
This club is great for meeting new people from American and other countries. They have regular meet-ups throughout the year.

Oakland Community College- ESL Classes
Courses are offered at three different locations. They offer four levels of combined writing/reading courses, four levels of combined grammar/listening courses, and three levels of speaking courses. They are credit courses that follow the semester plan.

Troy Continuing Education
Offers a variety of classes at four different levels, starting at different times throughout the year. Troy also offers online classes.
