Join the Birmingham Board of Education

The Birmingham Board of Education is seeking qualified community members to fill an upcoming Board vacancy. Serving on the Board is a meaningful way to make a difference in the lives of our students and help shape the future of our district.

The Board has established a transparent application and selection process. Following the application period, all eligible submissions will be reviewed, and candidates will be invited to participate in a public interview process. The appointed individual will serve on the Board until the next regularly scheduled election, in accordance with Michigan law.

To support prospective applicants, the Board hosts opportunities to learn about Board service, expectations, and answer general questions.
