Join BPS in shaping the future of education. You are all invited to explore and provide feedback on the top contenders for new ELA/Literacy (Reading) instructional materials for grades K-8. Your insights are invaluable in ensuring we meet the diverse needs of our students. Materials will be available for review at the Education Administration Center building on April 10 -11 from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. You can also review the materials and provide feedback virtually by clicking the links below. Be sure to read the Literacy Review Overview before looking at the instructional materials. The Curriculum Design Team will consider community feedback that is submitted virtually until Monday, April 15. We will continue collecting feedback until April 22, and 7 a.m. The Instructional Council and District Curriculum Council will review and consider all feedback shared during this period.
The Office of Student Learning & Inclusion will be present to assist you on April 11 from 4:30–7:30 p.m. The literacy curriculum design team will review feedback thoughtfully and utilize it when they reconvene to make final recommendations to the school board for the literacy program(s) to pilot during the 2024-2025 school year. Let's work together to shape our students' educational experience!
