Statement: We want our community to know that we are fully aware of the potential challenges that come with transitioning to a new approach in teaching reading. In line with the guidance from the Thomas Fordham Institute, which recognizes both the importance and complexity of implementing the science of reading, we understand that success requires a deep level of expertise and thoughtful execution. We are approaching this shift with care and precision. This has been a deliberate, three-year process, and it will continue to be a key focus for years to come as we ensure our teachers and students have the tools and support they need to succeed.
