Degrees and Certifications:
Seventh-grade science will be both exciting and challenging. Our program is inquiry-based. The National Science Education Standards define scientific inquiry as "the diverse ways in which scientists study the natural world and propose explanations based on the evidence derived from their work". Scientific inquiry also refers to the activities through which students develop knowledge and understanding of scientific ideas, as well as the understanding of how scientists study the natural world. Seventh graders will be issued four interactive textbooks throughout the year, one for each unit taught (Introduction To Chemistry, Physical Science, Earth Science, and Life Science). My students will be engaged in lab work, problem-solving, reading, discussing current issues, note-taking and having fun while learning.
