My name is Erin Pavey and I have been a teacher at West Maple since 2000.  I am also proud to say that I was a student at West Maple many years ago and a Groves High School graduate.  I have a son and daughter who also attend Birmingham Schools.  We all feel very fortunate to have such a positive educational experience. 

Teaching is my passion and creating a learning enviromnemt that encourages each child to do their best and be successful is one of my main goals.  As an educator, I want to provide my students the opportunity to learn in a way that they are most comfortable. Getting the children excited to come to school each day and making learning desirable and meaningful is important to me.  

When you visit my classroom you will observe cooperative learning, meaningful conversations, lots of exploring and of course, tons of fun!
