Welcome! I am in a new position at the most fabulous school on the planet, West Maple! I will be the Instructional Specialist this year.

I have been teaching for over 27 years and still feel privileged to come each day to this job I love! I spend my days navigating my students along their educational path while making sure to embrace our strengths and support each other with those things we are not good at "yet". We attack a rigorous curriculum while making sure to laugh as much as possible. 

I am a graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in Elementary Education and a Masters in Curriculum and Teaching. I have been married to another Spartan for the past 29 years. I have 3 of my own children who provide me with plenty of material to use in my teaching as well as opportunities to anticipate what my students will encounter as they navigate their future educational paths.

Fun Facts:

My brother, sister and I are the first generation to be born outside of Puerto Rico

I love the MSU Spartans (any sport) and Tigers baseball

My son  graduated from MSU and is working for Lockheed Martin in Texas and was MARRIED this past summer!

My daughter is in her second year of law school at Columbia University in New York.

My son Dominic is in his final year of Culinary School at Henry Ford and wrestles on their team.

I have 2 kittens named Mittens and Willow that we rescued during the summer.

I taught in Colorado for 6 years.

I love lilacs, Hostess (all kinds), dragon flies, and snow globes!
