We have selected Camp Tamarack for our 5th grade camp site for the past several years at Beverly Elementary. Each year, students enjoy the exceptional, customized outdoor experiences that cater to our individual school's needs. Students stay overnight in a beautiful outdoor setting with incredibly fun learning experiences and opportunities to bond with their fifth grade peers.

A meeting for parents of incoming 5th graders will be held on TUESDAY, JUNE 11 at 8:00 am in the Media Center.  If you are unable to attend this meeting, the presentation and forms will be available on the website following the meeting.

Students participate in canoeing, rock wall climbing, a balloon drop, and archery, to name a few. The previously mentioned activities are the primary activities for Fifth Grade Camp 2019. Please see the descriptions below of the primary activities that our students will participate in from the Camp Tamarack website.

     Canoeing
    Canoeing
Newly revised canoeing maximizes a groups' time on the water. Camp Tamarack facilitators teach basic canoeing skills on land. Groups learn first hand how to work with their partner to accomplish a goal. Once the group gains the necessary skills, Camp Tamarack facilitates games on the water for the group. In addition to Beverly chaperones and staff, this program is supervised by an American Red Cross certified lifeguard.

    Rock Wall Climbing
The Camp Tamarack Rock Wall stands over 30 feet tall and features 9 different routes to climb! Ranging in difficulty from beginner to an advanced overhang, this wall has something for climbers of all skills levels. Camp Tamarack, Beverly chaperones and staff promote expanding personal comfort zones and positive encouragement.

    Balloon Drop
This unique activity gets groups brainstorming, communicating, and constructing a design that they believe will accomplish the challenge set before them: participants must safely drop a water balloon without bursting it!

    Archery
Archery is a fun and exciting sport that is fun for everyone, no matter their athletic ability. Participants learn about the bow and arrows, stance, marksmanship techniques, and of course, the importance of safety. Camp Tamarack uses basic recurve bows, perfect for participants of all abilities.
