Community Connection Activities (Possibly Virtual for the 2020-2021 School Year)

    BCS Open House
BCS holds a community Open House on the first Sunday in December (second Sunday if the first Sunday falls on Thanksgiving weekend), 1:00pm-3:00pm. During the Open House, our Student Ambassadors lead tours for our visitors. We average 500 guests at the Open House. Needless to say, it wouldn’t be possible without the amazing support of the BCS families. If you would like to help with this year’s Open House, please contact the Community Connections Co-chairs.

    New Family Breakfast
BCS hosts a breakfast for incoming 3/4 students and their families. This is a great opportunity for the new families to socialize with each other and meet the 3/4 staff and the principals. The New Family Breakfast will be held in early May from 7:45-8:30am. If you are interested in helping at this event, please contact the Community Connections Co-chairs.

    BCS Alumni Breakfast
Each spring, we host a breakfast for the BCS graduating seniors. The BCS Alumni are able to say hello to old friends and get encouraging words from BCS staff. If you are interested in helping at this event, please contact the Community Connections Co-chairs.

    Move-up Day
Move-up Day is a wonderful opportunity for our new students to begin feeling a part of BCS. The Move-up Day Committee helps plan activities for the incoming 3rd and 4th grade students and also assists with a parent information session. Move-up Day is scheduled for the second Monday in June, 9:00-10:30am. If you are interested in helping at this event, please contact the Community Connections Co-chairs.

    Get Involved and Support BCS

The Blast is the biggest fundraiser BCS hosts. In the Spring, the BCS community comes together for a carnival and auction to celebrate BCS and raise money for the PTSA. The Blast funds many of extra activities and technologies that BCS offers its students.

    • Box Tops Please send or bring in your Box Tops and drop them in the collection box in the Front Office. Each Box Top raises 10 cents for the school and it really adds up!

    • Spirit Wear BCS Spirit Wear is available at select events through out the school year.

    • BCS Car Decals  Show your school spirit with a BCS decal. Send $5 per decal in with your student in an envelope marked BCS Decals and we will deliver your decals to your student.
