Math Pentathlon is a program of interactive problem-solving games.
This free after school program (3:50-5:00) strengthens basic math concepts and skills, aligns with National and State Mathematics Standards, and stimulates creative thinking while developing problem-solving skills. By using specially designed games and activities that differentiate instruction, all students are motivated to enjoy math!
All the games are taught and played in various classroom at Beverly, with volunteer parent coaches.
We had over 100 students participate in the Math Pentathlon program during the 2019-2020 school year! Thanks to all of the parent volunteers who helped coach the games, provide snacks, etc.
