Principal' s Welcome Message

  • Dear Bingham families,

I am thrilled to be spending this school year as the Bingham Farms Elementary School Principal.  I have been in the education business for more than 42 years at a variety of level: high school teacher, Middle school assistant Principal, Middle school Principal and most recently as Principal of Derby Middle school in Birmingham Schools. I am a Proud graduate of Michigan State university with a BA and MA, and additional graduate course work at Wayne State University.  I am fortunate to have a wonderful husband, 3 amazing grown children and 2 adorable grandchildren.

My experience at all school levels has given me an appreciation of the importance of a positive elementary experience for our children.  The basic foundations of not only academics but also of character development, moral judgement and citizenship are shaped in these early years of formal education.  At Bingham, we have a proud tradition of “Being our Bingham Best, by demonstrating the positive qualities of Respect, Responsibility, Honesty and Kindness at all times during our school day.  We begin with Kindergarteners and continuing through the years.  Our 4th and 5th graders exemplify this with their volunteer roles as Safety and Service members assisting around the school.

We cannot make this journey alone, we need the partnership and support of our families.  All of us working together will give us the best possible outcome for our children.

    One of my favorite quotes

“OUR CHILDREN ARE OUR GREATEST TREASURE.  THEY ARE OUR FUTURE”

    Nelson Mandela
