Mrs. Kate Alexander
Hello,
My name is Kate Alexander and I have been teaching in Birmingham for 20+ years. I have taught at Quarton, Pierce and here I am at Greenfield! I am so excited to be here because I am a Greenfield Elementary alumnus! I have taught first grade (seven years), but the rest of my experience has been in kindergarten. The best place to be as this is the jumping off point for your child's school career. Your kindergartener has the incredible experience of being in school for the first time and having fun while learning, too.
We love to celebrate here in kindergarten whether it be the 50th day, the 100th day, or Women's History Month - we love to tie everything into a variety of learning experiences that are inclusive to our world and community.
Here in room 101, we love to create, explore, try new things, and learn - learn - learn!
When I am not teaching kindergarten, I like to travel around the United States (I have been to every state, but Alaska) and all over Michigan, garden, camp, read, and explore our natural world. I love spending time with my son and my husband. We like to do projects around our house, travel, and cook dinner together.
Thank you for visiting my website - I hope to see you soon.

Highlights for Kids
An interactive website that has many, many activities and reminds me of when I was a kid, but with technology.
