Commencement Exercises

  • Commencement is a celebration of the student’s achievements during their time at Seaholm. All the students wear a maroon gown purchased from Jostens.  Students are welcome to use a sibling’s  gown but they must purchase a tassel.  Students may wear small pins that designate their honor/society organization on their graduation gowns.

There are two cords the graduates are permitted to wear.

--The gold cord is given to students with a 3.8 or higher

--The white cord is  given to students who have recorded 50 hours of community service (with documentation).  This documentation must be submitted to the Community Service Organizer by May 1st .

The Commencement Exercises are held at 1:00 PM, usuallyl the first Sunday in June.  The program held in the Seaholm Gymnasium. Seating is available to all family and friends on a first-come first serve basis.  There are no tickets.  No seating can be held or reserved.  The graduates should arrive by 12:30 PM.  Parking is limited so we encourage car pooling when possible.
