Commencement Exercises

Commencement is a celebration of the student’s achievements during their time at Seaholm. All the students wear a maroon gown purchased from Jostens. Students are welcome to use a sibling’s gown but they must purchase a tassel. Students may wear small pins that designate their honor/society organization on their graduation gowns.
There are two cords the graduates are permitted to wear.
--The gold cord is given to students with a 3.8 or higher
--The white cord is given to students who have recorded 50 hours of community service (with documentation). This documentation must be submitted to the Community Service Organizer by May 1st .
The Commencement Exercises are held at 1:00 PM, usuallyl the first Sunday in June. The program held in the Seaholm Gymnasium. Seating is available to all family and friends on a first-come first serve basis. There are no tickets. No seating can be held or reserved. The graduates should arrive by 12:30 PM. Parking is limited so we encourage car pooling when possible.
