Grades 6-8 | Girls | No Cuts

Derby Girls Tennis is a program run by the Birmingham Racquet Club. 6th-8th grade girls can join the team and participate in competitions. All skill levels are welcome and will be placed in teams of the appropriate level via a tryout. Tennis operates as an interscholastic sport in which athletes of all grades usually practice every day at the Birmingham Racquet Club. However, only the 7th and 8th grades will compete against other schools.

All practices and tryouts occur at the Kenning Tennis Courts in Birmingham, next to the Birmingham Racquet Club.

Turn in the following 2 forms and $140 to the Derby front office. Checks can be made payable to Derby Middle School.

Note regarding registration fee refunds: Students who are cut from a team during tryouts will receive a full refund of their registration fee. Any student who decides not to participate during the first week of practice AND requests a refund through the office (tryout week included) will also receive a full refund. Any student who removes themselves or is removed from a team after the first week of practice for any reason will not be eligible for any refund.
