Pierce Kids Club
Dear BPS Elementary Families,
Over the last several weeks we have communicated with you about the opening of Kids Club programs in our schools. We also indicated that participation in these programs would be required in order to keep them available.
Unfortunately, we have not consistently reached the required number of students attending each session, morning or afternoon, which allows us to cover our costs. We have not even broached half of the 13-student minimum enrollment needed on a per session basis since opening on October 14.
As a result, we have made the difficult decision to close our Kids Club programs, with our last day on Tuesday, November 24. This date was chosen to provide you with sufficient time to make other childcare arrangements. We understand the challenge this may pose and are grateful to have been able to provide this service, despite the financial loss, as long as we did.
You will be able to schedule your child’s Kids Club attendance for the weeks of November 9, November 16 and for November 23 and 24. Registration fees are non-refundable, as they cover various costs already incurred at the time you registered your child.
Be aware that this is a temporary closure. It is our hope that we will be able to re-open our programs quickly at such time that BPS is able to move from a hybrid to a full in-person schedule.
