    Robin Vechazone


    Jason Pesamoska is beginning his first year as Principal at West Maple Elementary after serving for three years as the Assistant Principal.  He began his career teaching Kindergarten at Bingham Farms Elementary and Beverly Elementary in Birmingham Public Schools and moved on to teach 1st grade at Harlan Elementary before coming to West Maple.  For the next seven years Mr. Pesamoska taught grades 3 - 5 at West Maple until becoming the Assistant Principal in 2015. In addition to his duties as Interim Principal, Jason serves on many District Committees and coordinates the Elementary District Science Olympiad for Birmingham Public Schools.

    Jason has earned a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Wayne State University and holds a Bachelors Degree in K-8 General Education with a specialized endorsement in Early Childhood Education.  Jason and his wife currently have two children, Charlotte and Elijah, who keep them busy and always smiling.  As a family they enjoy spending time at their family property Up North and playing with their Golden Retrievers Daphne and Delilah.


    Robin Vechazone is the Interim Assistant Principal at West Maple Elementary School. She began her career teaching kindergarten in Western Michigan and then spent four years teaching sixth grade English Language Arts in Florida before arriving at West Maple in 1999. Mrs. Vechazone taught kindergarten, first and second grade at West Maple, as well as eight years as the Instructional Specialist. 

    Robin holds a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Southern Mississippi, a School Administrative Certificate from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Alma College. Robin and her husband Bo have two sons, Brennen and Brady. Both boys are student athletes and the family enjoys travelling to various sporting events to support each child.
