Enrollment and Registration

  • Returning Student Registration

Birmingham Public Schools is excited to announce our new online Returning Student Registration system for the upcoming school year, PowerSchool Registration powered by InfoSnap. The system is a secure and green process, which allows the district to verify all student demographic, emergency and medical information for your child prior to the start of the new school year. The system will also allow you to electronically sign school district policies. This online process replaces the paper student registration forms.

Letters were mailed to all district families Early May 2019 containing instructions on how to access the system for your student, including instructions and a secure “snapcode” that links directly to your student’s current information on file. You will create an account, that you will use each year for this process, and submit an electronic form for each student in your family. To make the process easier for families with multiple students, you will have the option to copy all generic family information to all other students in your family. A sample of the Returning Student Letter is available below.

Please complete the Returning Student Registration forms by Friday, June 7, 2019. Your student’s registration will not be complete until the forms have been submitted. If you do not have access to a computer, contact your child’s school and make an appointment to use a school computer to complete the process. This process can also be completed using a smartphone. If you have any further questions, please contact the school office.

Returning Student Registration is for the currently enrolled Birmingham Public Schools students who have received a snapcode letter from the district.

    Returning Student Registration Forms

    New Student Registration

New Students to the District please follow the directions below. The first step of the process is to create an account. Please use an email address that you check often. This account can be used to register and update information for all of your children attending Birmingham Public Schools.

PowerSchool Registration will save a draft of your entries, so you can return to an enrollment to complete it at any time. (Wait and DO NOT PRESS SUBMIT until you are completely done, as you will not be able to return to make any changes or upload any documents once you press SUBMIT). Once you hit “review and submit” the data will be sent to the school for review (InfoSnap has a technical hotline should you have any issues 1-866-752-6850).

New student enrollment is for all students new to the district, even if they have a sibling already enrolled. NEW student enrollment does NOT apply to students already enrolled, who are moving or changing to a new school building within the district. If you received a snapcode letter from the district do NOT complete the New Student Registration forms as you are already enrolled.
