    West Maple Preschool is a play-based program, offering half-day options for 3-year-olds as well as half-day and full-day options for 4-year-olds. Children learn and explore in an age-appropriate and engaging environment.  The curriculum covers many different areas of development:  physical; cognitive; language, communication, and literacy; interpersonal skills and relationships; creative arts; dramatic play; and construction.
    The preschool program, located at West Maple Elementary School, is tuition-based and licensed by the State of Michigan.  Teachers have a minimum of a four year degree and experience working with young children.  The maximum staff to child ratio is 1:8.

    Philosophy:  The BPS preschool programs follows the High Scope Curriculum.  High Scope aligns with the Early Childhood Standards of Quality for the State of Michigan.  A strong foundation for school readiness, to enhance cognitive, physical and social-emotional creative development is the focus of our high-quality program.
    Registration:  Online registration for the 2017-2018 school year opens February 1st, with an early enrollment period for current families opening on January 26th.  Please see our West Maple flyer for registration instructions.
