Community Ed Programming

  • Birmingham Community Education offers classes, summer camps and academic summer school programs for all community members.  The Birmingham Community Education Department also oversees the rental of BPS facilities and fields. To see current program offerings or to inquire about a rental, please visit the Birmingham Community Education website or call 248.203.3800.

    The Birmingham Community Education office is located in Seaholm High School at 2436 West Lincoln, Birmingham, 48009 in room F102. Please park in the staff/guest lot on the east side of the high school, entering off of Lincoln Street. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Please note that office hours are subject to change during school breaks and holidays.

  • Information on Adult Education
    English as a Second Classes (ESL)!

    Adult Education ESL classes are running virtually. Please contact LGrindem@birmingham.k12.mi.us for more information.

     

    Fall 2020:

    Registration will be in early September 2020. Hours are 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Days of the week for attendance are based on class level. Please park in the guest lot off of Lincoln Street on the east side of the building and enter through the doors that have "Birmingham Community Education" on the awning.

    Acceptance in the class will be based on the results of your ESL proficiency exam. Students must obtain a minimum CASAS score of 187 to be eligible and registration is ongoing and open until classes are filled. Please bring your passport and/or visa, social security card and your driver's license or State of Michigan ID with you to registration.
