    Homework
    Students typically have English homework nightly, and I give both verbal and written instructions in class. I also provide students with a reading calendar for every novel. Large or complex assignments are posted on schoology.com. Students were given the login password the first week of class. 

    PowerSchool/Grades
    Please check PowerSchool regularly, and don't forget to click on the blue links for explanations of assignments and/or grades.

    • Annotating - This is a great resources that explains the importance of annotating and how to annotate. 
    • Grammar Website - This is an excellent website to access clear, simple grammar rules.  It also has several grammar exercises for practice.
    • OWL: Purdue University's Online Writing Lab - This website is a great resources to use to review or check grammar rules, writing mechanics and citation guidelines.
    • turnitin - This is the program to which students will upload all essays.  I will transfer grades to PowerSchool, but students view my comments and their rubric via this site.
