Ms. Meleca

Welcome!  I have been a member of the BPS faculty since 1997, teaching all levels of Spanish and English.  Before working here at Seahom, I worked for nine years at Birmingham Covington School.  I have also taught in the Cranbrook Educational Community and in Mt. Clemens for the Edison Project.

My roots stem from upstate New York where I was born and raised and where I conducted my undergraduate studies at the University of Rochester.  I moved shortly after receiving my bachelor's degree and have since called Michigan my home.  When choosing to attend Oakland University for my graduate studies, it did not go unnoticed that I was in yet another city called Rochester!

My main interests, aside from being an educator, include being physically active and travelling.  I have traversed many corners of the globe, including Alaska, Australia and Tasmania.  I have also been to Italy (my heritage), Portugal, Ireland, England, Wales, Germany, Poland, Austria, the Czech Republic, Cuba and, of course, Spain.  I always look forward to wherever my next adventure takes me and am eager to start travelling again with students post-pandemic.
