Each week, parents, community members, educators, and National Honor Society students contribute their time as program tutors. It is indeed a remarkable experience to witness a student assume a leadership role and engage in teaching. The concept of "children assisting children" is a principle we take great pride in each week. Regardless of whether you are a tutor or a student seeking assistance, there is a welcoming place for you at Saturday School.

If you are interested in the opportunity to serve as a tutor at Saturday School, please click on the link below and complete the Google form with your information. Subsequently, you may report to the Berkshire Middle School media center between the hours of 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM on the selected date(s), and we will ensure that you are paired with a student in need of tutoring.

We seek assistance in all subject areas! It is not necessary for you to be an expert in a specific subject to serve as a tutor, as we encourage our tutors to engage in a collaborative learning experience alongside the students. This approach fosters an optimal learning environment.

Volunteer Tutor form 

Many high school students, particularly those affiliated with the National Honor Society, require volunteer hours, and this program presents an excellent opportunity to fulfill that requirement. Student tutors are advised to bring their documentation and ensure it is signed by program leadership prior to their departure. Additionally, we are more than willing to assist our tutors by providing letters of recommendation and facilitating future employment opportunities that may necessitate references.

In addition to these personal advantages, tutors experience a sense of pride and fulfillment when they genuinely assist another student in enhancing their self-esteem.
