Class of 2021 Graduation Information updated 4/5/21


Class of 2021 Families,

I want to let all of you know that we have officially secured Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre in Detroit - - for the Class of 2021 Commencement ceremony on Sunday, June 6th. Our ceremony will be in the late afternoon as there is a school that has booked a morning graduation ceremony at this venue.

More details to follow, but for now, save the date! ( At this point we do not know the number of guests that may attend per student. We are waiting for futher details pertaining to the state allowed amount. 


Graduation Announcements have arrived!

These orders are available for pick-up next week between 7:30 and 3:30 from Mrs. Berger in the Main Office. 


Graduation Ceremony Auditions

If students are interested in speaking at the ceremony or performing a musical act, we will be hosting auditions on Friday, March 12th starting at 1 p.m. (this is the last day of second trimester exams). Please email Dr. Smith if you would like to audition.


Cap and Gown Orders

Please make sure to order your student's cap and gown ASAP if you have not done so already. Here is the site to place your order - 


Senior All Night Party

The committee needs parent input. Please respond to this short survey concerning your student's plans to attend SANP at an indoor venue on June 6th. 



Senior All Night Party Update 4/3/21: It will be held the night after graduation on June 6th from 9-3:00 PM. All students and volunteers will be required to wear a mask and social distance.  I will attach a 1 Pay Order Form to write one check for all the senior items. If you have already sent in some of the forms, just note on the order form it has already been sent in. All forms due MAY 1st! We still need help with selling raffle tickets and fundraising. If you want to help but don’t have much time you can sell raffle tickets or ask local businesses for donations!

SANP volunteers needed! 

Please consider volunteering for a fun night with your graduate! We will need lots of help! All volunteers will be required to wear a mask and social distance at the Emagine Theater in Royal Oak. Parking is available in the lot for volunteer parents only. There is a 1st and 2nd shift. Note: if someone does not sign up for the 2nd shift, we may need you to stay if possible. Raffle Tickets:  We are still selling raffle tickets! There are still lots of chanced to win $100! We need ALL senior parents to try and sell as many raffle tickets as possible. If you want to help – sell tickets! This is our main fundraiser for the SANP! The raffle is tied to the Michigan Lottery, Evening Daily 3 (on Wednesdays), if the last 3 numbers of your ticket match the numbers drawn you could win a minimum of $100 or a maximum of $250. Tickets are $20 and you have 20 chances to win, very good odds! The drawing time frame for our raffle is January 13 - May 16th.

Baby/Current PhotosWe need a digital version of your senior's baby photo and a current photo sent to Dave Green at (yearbook will be asking for a photo too - this is separate).  Also, it would fun to include a zany picture of your senior's COVID experience, if you have one. Make sure include the full name of the senior and a contact number in case we have issues. 

Yard Signs: Senior Yard signs are 1 for $30 or 2 for $50. Forms can be dropped off at the school or mailed. Contact Gil Stebbins

Donations: If you know any local businesses that could donate money, prizes, or gift cards to the SANP please contact Stephanie Bradley at or Lindsay Dems 

Senior Wishes: Ask your extended family members, friends, coaches, teachers, etc if they want to give a wish to your senior. This is a note to your senior to wish them good luck and congratulate them on graduating. They are $5 each or 5 for $20. We will give them to your senior the night after graduation at the SANP. Volunteers: A Sign-Up Genius will be going out soon for parents to sign up and help at the Senior All Night Party. We need volunteers to make this party successful, sp please consider helping out. It's the last chance to be involved as a parent for your Groves student!
