While Saya's papa is studying and writing letters to free his wife. Saya writes a letter of her own. This letter paves the way for her mama to come home. This story can be used to build empathy for the many families that have separarated because of not having the proper papers to stay in our country. This story does not villify the law, but challenges us to think and feel what others are enduring.
