Note from the Principal

Dear Bingham families,

This week we will be participating in a variety of activities celebrating the life of Dr. Martin Luther King and his important role in civil rights.  Individual classrooms are doing writing projects and researching the events of Dr. King’s life.  Next Friday we will be doing a silent march into the MPR, followed by a video and student presentations about “I have a Dream…”

Our winter cold has arrived, but unfortunately for our children no snow, they really want to play in piles of snow.  This past week we did have to stay inside for recess one day as the Wind Chill was below 15 degrees.  This is a district policy that all Elementary schools adhere to.  We check the weather regularly on really cold days to make a determination about whether we go outside.  We do ask that children come to school with all of their winter gear to go outside.  Many of our children are coming without hats, gloves or boots.  We do have a very full lost and found, so if you are missing items you may want to ask your child to check it or come yourself, you might find some interesting items.

In this enews you see information about our major fundraiser for the year, Parents Night Out Auction, please consider donating or attending this fun event.  This fund raiser supplies us with the funds we use on behalf of our Bingham Students.

Debbie
