Scheduling for 2019-2020
SCHEDULING TIMELINE FOR 2019-2020
- Students will be receiving grade-level scheduling information and forms at the scheduling assembly on Jan. 9th. Forms are linked below for your review.
- After talking to their teachers and parents, students will be asked to complete a scheduling form (and AP Policy, if applicable), and enter their course selections in PowerSchool. Students may do this at home or in school.
- New for this year, the counselors will be meeting with freshmen and sophomores during the lunch periods (schedule below). Additionally, freshmen and sophomores may choose to meet w/their counselor to further discuss their course selections. Students that opt to sign up for an additional appointment, need to sign up for a time on their counselor’s calendar. Each counselor has their calendar posted outside of their office door.
- The counselors will meet w/juniors on Wednesday, Jan 23rd in the Media Center to schedule. Juniors will be asked to select a meeting time with their counselor through signup genius. The signup genius links will be made available during the week of Jan. 21. This is an opportunity for the counselor to review the graduation requirements and discuss with the student their college and career aspirations.

We encourage students to consider the homework commitment for each course and their personal commitments such as work and sport(s) when choosing courses.
It is important to note, course selections by our students determine much of our teacher assignments and budget decision each year. It is for these reasons we wish to stress to our students and their parents the necessity to be thoughtful when selecting courses.
